"It was the clip I was looking for, but....." 2010-05-26

I got this less than 6 months ago. I bought the speck candy shell/ the toughskin, I bought 2 leather cases for my iphone. But none was what I was looking for, a simple yet not bulky clip for the iphone. I bought a magazine, and saw a recomendation for the marware sportshell. I decided to give it a try. Price to me was reasonable. It came and almost immediately was pleased with was I was seeing. The sportsshell comes in multiple pieces (instead of fitting the iphone into it, you snap/connect the pieces around your iphone.

Pros: form fitting (not bulky at all), comes with own arm band.

Cons: (1)The connection point, sometimes becomes undone. (I simply snap it back into place), (2)Clip doesnt swivel, and (3)(on my trip to Puerto Rico) I left my phone in the trunk of car. I went to to some water activities, so I didnt want to get the phone wet. When I returned, the sportshell "blistered" in the heat of the trunk. The Plastic is suppose to be smooth, now its bumpy.

I'm wondering if I should buy anther one, I like it, but the blistering might be a deal breaker for me.

I like this case. I don't use the armband much, but the case has stood up while keeping the phone in my front pants pocket, and the clip is handy when I run or do the dishes. I leave the clip attached because it is too difficult to put on and remove easily. Overall, I am happy with it.

Its an okay case, looks alright. Is pretty comfortable on my arm. The plastic clip feels a bit weak, like it won't last. The velcro closure works okay for now, but also doesn't seem robust enough to last. Biggest complaint is how difficult it is to get the phone in and out of the case. It seems design like they expect you to leave your phone in their case all of the time and attach the case to the arm band when needed.

If you're just looking for a workout band, skip this one. If you sometimes want a clip and sometimes want an arm band, then maybe this one will work for you.

I like this case the best. It fits well, offers ability to use arm band or belt clip also. I don't really like the belt clip though, as I prefer the phone to not have the clip attached so I use the Marware Sidewinder Deluxe holster & this case fits on that holster just fine.
The screen protector included did not attach as cleanly as others I have used, but it could my attempt at applying it. Very Versatile

This is the best in quality I've got out of 3-4 cases for my iphone 3g. I had purchased it only to use the armband, however I've been using the armband for a month every morning while jogging as well as the belt clip all along. I use the belt clip when in my office, in business meetings and basically everywhere. I only wish the clip part came in black so that it wouldn't stand out from the case, but it's not really a downfall. And I like the feature that you can leave the phone sideways or upright . I watch youtube clips on my office desk on the horizontal mode.
